2009 CFA ® Scholarship Program

The CFA Society of Philadelphia (CFAP), in conjunction with the CFA Institute, is pleased to offer the 2009 CFA ® Scholarship Program to qualified candidates for the CFA & reg Program. The scholarship program will waive the entire enrollment fee (for CFA I candidates who are registering for the first time) and will discount the registration fee to US$220 for each exam. This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. Scholarships cannot be deferred to another exam offering. Recipients who are full-time students will receive full reimbursement of their registration fees. Curriculum is now included as part of the registration fee. The program is specifically intended for candidates planning to sit for any one of the three levels of the June 2009 CFA exam; it is not available for the December 2008 exam.

A total of up to ten scholarships will be awarded. Selection criteria include – but are not limited to – interest in the CFA® Program, professional experience and academic achievement. Although financial need is not a requirement, it will be taken into consideration. Candidates who have already registered and paid for the June 2009 exam will receive a refund if they are chosen to receive a scholarship.

Each applicant must meet all of the qualifications for registration as a CFA candidate, reside or work within 200 miles of CFAP and, if an undergraduate or graduate student, be enrolled in a college or university within 200 miles of CFAP. Immediate family members of CFAP officers, directors, committee chairs or employees of CFAP are not eligible to apply for a scholarship.

Applications must be received by January 15, 2009! CFAP will not accept any applications faxed or postmarked after that date.
